We will be observing Samhain-Halloween with a costume optional Sunday message.
All Hallows Eve, October 31st, the Celtic ancestors would light large bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts and spirits. The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. This observance evolved into Halloween we celebrate today.
