Minister’s Musings – July 26, 2021
Winds of Change
I wake up in the morning, sun is shining bright,
My heart is full of zeal, I’ve focus of a kite.
I pledge for love and peace, seek nothing in exchange,
That’s how I will strive, to sail with winds of change.
– Dr. Prashant Bhatt
What a beautiful verse. It talks of hope for a new day and the intention to go with whatever life brings us. Here at Unity of Tacoma, we have paid attention to the changing winds and are adjusting accordingly. We’ve been listening to the still small voice within us and we hear the quiet call to action.
Our Social Responsibility
As the Delta variant of the COVID 19 virus becomes more prevalent in the Puget Sound area, we’ve recognized our responsibility to maintain the well-being of everyone who visits us. And, as new data concerning vaccine effectiveness against the variant emerged, it prompted the board and I to move in a different direction for the time being.
Stopping In-Person Services
For the month of July, we have met at the church on Sundays mornings, inviting members and guests to join us. However, in light of the surging cases of COVID 19 among the vaccinated and unvaccinated, we have decided to stop meeting in person until further notice, effective August 1, 2021. We will continue to live stream our Sunday messages and music at 10:00 AM each week until we can meet again.
We at Unity of Tacoma, thank you for your support and patience through this time. Keep checking our Facebook page and website for updates. You can also sign up to receive our newsletter and weekly email blasts.
As we wait to meet again in person, we can affirm:
All things are going as planned by Divine instruction and we are united in love.
In love and light…
