Your Fortune Begins with You
The book we are studying here at Unity or Tacoma over the summer, Spiritual Economics by Eric Butterworth talks at length about our ability to create our desires using the power that we already possess.
He says that,
“The important Truth is that you are a spiritual being with the Allness of Infinite Mind within you. Whatever your needs may be, the answer is not to get God to give you more through some divine sleight-of-hand process, but rather to uncover and release your own ‘imprisoned splendor.’”
We Create Our Experience
We create our own limitations within our minds that block our ability to create what we want for ourselves. In his book, Butterworth asks us to work within the energetic vibration that is always working for our greatest good.
We are working with a Divine law here. Not a law that we manipulate, but one that works within its own process. It’s like gravity. Gravity works to keep us from floating into space and keeps our feet on the ground.
The law of abundance is the same type of law. It works even if we believe it or are attentive to it or not. It is what it is.
The Law of Abundance is Always Working
We need to understand that this law is always in process and that we can either work with it or allow it to work for us. It uses your energy and intention to manifest your reality and it also uses your lack of focus and attention to create other things as well.
It directly feeds off your energy. If you focus on lack and limitation, guess what? You get lack and limitation. If you focus on prosperity and abundance, your get prosperity and abundance. We have a power within us to create our lives the way we want them, we just need to choose to participate in the process.
Your Thoughts and Feelings Are Key
Henry Ford said:
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.”
Your faith in yourself is what’s important. You have the power to create your own destiny despite what is happening to you and around you. You are the one who knows what you want and it’s important to keep your eye on the prize.
It’s really important to keep your focus on what you do want. But, it’s also helpful to deny what it is you don’t want. Letting go of what doesn’t work and being intentional about it. This helps you get very clear about your definitions of both what you do and do not want will help keep your intentions focused in the direction you want to move in.
Yogic teacher Parmahansa Yogananda said,
“If you cling to a certain thought with dynamic will power, it finally assumes a tangible outward form.”
Identifying your focus will ultimately help you to become and stay prosperous and feeling abundant.
